Rupl

Privacy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

Rupl runs entirely on your Apple Watch. It has no server, no account and makes no network requests. This page describes what the app reads, what it writes and what it never does — the short version is that nothing you record leaves your device.

What the app reads

With your permission, Rupl reads from Apple Health: your workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, sleep, date of birth, and — only if such records exist — menstrual cycle data used to set baselines. Apple Health does not tell the app whether you refused a permission or simply have no data; both look the same, and the app asks no follow-up questions.

What the app writes

Rupl saves each session to Apple Health as a workout, with its own metadata: your effort rating, the session type, and a snapshot of your training peak. Your training state is stored on the watch as a single file.

What the app never does

No account. No sign-in. No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party crash reporting, no tracking of any kind. The app contains no code that contacts a network. Nothing is sold, shared or transmitted, because there is nowhere for it to be transmitted to.

Diagnostics

If you choose to report a problem, the app can export a diagnostic file that you share yourself, through the system share sheet, to a destination you pick. It contains your training state and recent decision log. It never contains GPS tracks or second-by-second heart rate, and it is never sent automatically.

Crash reports

If you have enabled sharing analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may send us crash reports through its own service. This is Apple's channel, governed by your system-level choice, and you can turn it off in Settings at any time.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Your data, your device

Because nothing is stored outside your watch, there is no account to delete and no data for us to return or erase. Deleting the app removes its state. Data written to Apple Health stays in Apple Health, under your control, and can be deleted there.
